The program provides a workout that will take the user beyond the P90 program. Its main goal is to get you ripped in 90 days. The program uses an advanced muscle building concept called "muscle confusion."

Muscle confusion is based on the fact that the human body and muscles adapt very quickly to any new stress placed upon it , therefore you must change your workout, the amount of resistance, the number of sets and repetitions in order to keep your muscles from plateauing and to continue growing.

P90X was originally designed to push the individuals that purchased the P90 program, to the next level. It incorporates a mixture of fitness training, nutrition and proper supplementation to achieve superior performance and conditioning, according to their website.

The P90X program does require approximately one-hour per day, and you are going to train six days a week.

I am a 50 year old male who was your basic gym rat doing the typical 3 days of weight training and a couple days cardio running or on a tread mill. My eating habits were not the best, but I was in okay shape at 6' 2" and 208 pounds with 18.9% body fat and a 36 inch waist.

Then I found P90X and that changed everything. I am now 185 pounds, 9.8% body fat and a 32 inch waist and no longer go to the gym.

YEAH - P90X works!
